When a whole community acts in unity, a few little acts may achieve significant change. Companies, staff, and recycling technology are joining forces in the One Million Drop Challenge with one big goal: to record one million recyclable garbage drops around the city. The campaign seeks to promote better habits, expand recycling infrastructure to make it more accessible, and illustrate what collective action for the environment can achieve by turning ordinary recycling into concrete, data-driven impact.

What Is the One Million Drop Challenge?

A citywide recycling effort has officially launched, with corporate cooperation coming one at a time. The One Million Drop Challenge has launched, inviting the corporate community to come together and prove that recyclable waste can be collected, tracked, and measured at a scale that actually changes behavior. This is not a one-off campaign. It is the beginning of an infrastructure that will continue to expand until the city jointly achieves one million tracked drops.

The infrastructure for this challenge is sponsored and hosted by the corporate community itself. That change is important. It elevates corporate social responsibility by pursuing sustainable efforts with tangible, verifiable results, supported by data that firms can see and use.

Meet the First Corporate Hub Joiners

At the center of the One Million Drop Challenge is Tadweer Waste Treatment LLC, the initiative’s leading recycling partner and a key part of its operations. Tadweer supports the recycling process behind the challenge and was the first organization to host an eGreenBadge corporate recycling hub at its premises.

Chain Reaction has also joined the movement by hosting a corporate recycling hub at its office, helping expand the challenge’s reach across the corporate community.

By coming on board at this early stage, Tadweer Waste Treatment LLC and Chain Reaction are helping demonstrate how companies can contribute to building accessible recycling infrastructure across the city. Their participation sets the tone regarding what the movement is designed to achieve: a joint effort supported by organizations willing to lead, encourage employee participation, and create measurable environmental impact.

How the Corporate Recycling Hub Works

The corporate recycling center is designed around the eGreenBadge bin, a smart bin that is directly linked to the eGreenBadge ecosystem. It serves as a data tracker, tracking waste from domestic disposal to its second life.

Employees interact with the system via the eGreenBadge app, which lets them sort recyclables, drop them off at the hub, and access reward programs designed to promote involvement. Every data point from the app and bin is transferred immediately to a corporate dashboard, providing firms with real-time visibility into their sustainability operations.

The dashboard displays ESG data points that corporations can access at any time, including:

  • Recycling rate.
  • Waste diverted from landfill.
  • Carbon emissions avoided.
  • Additional behavioral data on how employees are engaging with recycling.

Beyond the data, the hub addresses a practical issue. It allows employees to recycle where they currently are by sorting recyclables at home and bringing them to the office. That convenience is what transforms a goal into a habit, and then into long-term behavior change.

A Collective Model for Lasting Impact

The One Million Drop Challenge is a collective, first-of-its-kind model in which the corporate community funds and hosts recycling hubs in their own spaces, building the city’s infrastructure one company at a time.

The challenge itself has no set end date. It will continue until the city has monitored one million drops. What each partner agrees to is more specific: a twelve-month hosting cycle, at the conclusion of which they will receive a tailored impact report indicating how much they contributed to allowing circularity at the household level.

Joining also includes an awareness session for employees, introducing the purpose behind the hub and encouraging people to recycle out of genuine care rather than obligation or fear. That distinction reflects the philosophy behind eGreenBadge itself: inspiring and empowering people to choose to act, rather than pressuring them into it.

As more corporates come on board, the recycling infrastructure being built across the city grows with them, and the path to one million drops gets shorter.

Join the Movement

Tadweer Waste Treatment LLC and Chain Reaction have taken the first step. The infrastructure is live, the data is real, and the model is ready to scale. Every corporate partner that joins brings the city closer to one million tracked drops, and closer to proving that measurable, lasting environmental impact starts with a single choice to act.

The movement is live. The only question left is who joins next.
